I'm really enjoying shooting these graphic still life images at the moment. This one was expertly styled by Lucy Feagins from The Design Files.

The incredible home of Alpha 60 owners Alex and Georgie Cleary. More pics here

Broadsheet . December 10, 2012

Broadsheet asked me to shoot the cover of their Summer print issue. Yeah!

Kangaroo Island for Feast . December 03, 2012

Feast Magazine sent me halfway across the continent to Kangaroo Island for their December issue. There was no shortage of spectacular scenery and more wildlife than you can point a camera at. Above are some of my favourite shots and below you can see the opening spread. Seriously digging the layout.

Bill Henson . November 20, 2012

When Lucy from The Design Files asked me to photograph Bill Henson I was equal parts excited and terrified. How would I shoot one of my photographic heroes without falling into a heap? Anyway, I survived and this is my favourite image from a very brief shoot.

Whisky Business . October 15, 2012

Smith Journal sent me to The Lark Distillery in Tasmania to take some shots to accompany a story about the whisky investment. I don't mind the odd drop so as you can imagne this was a difficult gig! Dangerously, I learned that it's possible to buy a barrel of Lark whisky at well below retail price, if you're prepared to fork out $4000 upfront.

Pick up the current issue to find out more.

Assemble . October 04, 2012

This is the quite amazing studio of Melbourne creatives Assemble, shot for The Design Files. I'll let Lucy do the explaining:

Assemble is an inspiring young architecture, design and property development company focused on small footprint projects.  The business was founded in 2010 by close pals Giuseppe ‘Pino’ Demaio, Ben Keck and Joachim Holland, whose varied backgrounds span architecture, design, property and finance.  This dynamic group founded their practice based on the simple shared belief that small footprint living should not be a compromise. ‘You can and should be able to live the fullest of lives in a small but well-considered space’ they say.

Los Amates for Feast Magazine . September 13, 2012

Fitzroy Mexican stalwart Los Amates shot for Feast Magazine. Below is an extract from the story written by Carrie Hutchinson. Pick up the current issue to read more.

Melbourne has the grip of Mexican food fervour. Suddenly folks are turning up their noses at the Tex-Mex version that has dominated local tastebuds for years. No, they now want the real deal – the type of food you’d eat on a visit to the Yucatán Peninsula or Guadalajara.
Bemused by the cuisine’s sudden surge in popularity is Arturo Morales, the chef and owner of Los Amates in Fitzroy. Morales opened the home-style restaurant, where wood tables are topped with fresh posies and nichos (folk art-inspired scenes in shadow boxes) hang on the walls, a little more than eight years ago.
