Late last year I was contacted by Sydney super-agency BMF to do a shoot for Pura milk.

It was a slightly controversial topic at the time but it was hard to say no to the opportunity to work for such a great agency (I love their La^mb stuff).

Here’s how it appeared in print:

I did another shoot for BMF a couple of weeks ago, so I’ll post that when I can.

Some of my shots from last years Taste Festival are being used in the branding for this years event:

In the booklet, on the website and on a big shipping container / billboard.

The graphic design for the Taste is the work of the cool dudes at Futago.

The lineup for next month’s MONA FOMA has just been announced (Grandmaster Flash, The Dirty Three, John Cale (!) and heaps more) and a few of my images from the inaugural event earlier this year are being used.

The bottom pic is from a slick new booklet promoting the very exciting MONA complex which is currently being built in Hobart.

Also noticed this billboard in the city this morning with my shots from another campaign I just shot with Clemenger for The Mercury.

We shot three different scenarios and I guess the others will be going up soon.

Recently I was commissioned by Clemenger to take some shots for a campaign for Point Restaurant.

The brief was to take a series of dark, atmospheric portraits of the Chef de Cuisine.

Behind the scenes: Heaps of light coming in from the right, plus two snooted strobes at the back for separation on the chef and a for a small highlight on the table in the background. I also had my big reflector clamped to a stand at the left to stop any light bouncing back onto the dark side of his face.

My Bay of Fires pics have surfaced in the pages of posh design/architecture magazine Artichoke.

The article was written by Artichoke’s editor, the lovely Kate Rhodes, who tagged along on the Design Island Workshop.

I was pretty excited to be contacted a little while ago by UK photographer Tim Cochrane inviting me to submit some pics for a website he was planning.

I kinda forgot about it until I got an email from him this week saying it was live. Check it out: The Shashin Collective

Tim says the site “has been created to showcase the work of today’s most cutting edge photographers from around the world.” Not sure if I fit that description!

It’s cool to have work shown alongside some photographers I really admire, especially Phil Sharp, who takes amazing portraits.

Make sure you check out Tim’s work - he does a bunch of stuff for mags like NME.
