For Reasons of Our Own! is a 30-artist exhibition organised by certified madman Josh Pringle (check out his awesome blog).

It’s the second time he’s held a show at the Scumfighter Social Club (aka his mum’s garage) and I reckon it’s a great idea.

All work will be on sale for $20 and money raised will go to a community arts project based on the outskirts of Hobart.

I’ve scraped together these two shots for the show.

Opening: Friday 27th November, 6pm - 9pm
Showing: 28th/29th November, 11am - 5pm

Scum Fighter Gallery: 134 Cascade Rd, South Hobart. (just before the Brewery!)

The Go Betweens are one of my favourite bands, so I was pretty excited to hear that Robert Forster was coming to town to launch his new book and sing a few acoustic songs.

Luckily I got a couple of minutes with him for a quick portrait shoot.

I snapped a few variations of this but I think it’s my favourite for now.

His visit coincided with the launch party for the cool new book club xyz.

Another couple of shots from the Power Hip Hop series.

These guys love having their photos taken. There’s quite a large African community in Hobart - I’d love to develop this series further.

Preview of some shots I did for a cool collaboration between some local hip-hoppers and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.

The project is being coordinated by Kickstart Arts and culminates in a series of live performances later in the year.

Some new shots for folksy singer-songwriter Billy Whims.

This one is my favourite I think. Bit of a Where The Wild Things Are vibe.
