Trip 35

This is something I’ve been hoping to get off the ground for a while: trip35.net

There’s still a heap of work to be done but eventually the site will have Trip 35 galleries from photographers around the world as well as repair and modification info and hopefully camera sales too.
I’ve already got a few Trip nuts on board so there’s gonna be some great content.
If you’d like to be involved, send me an email at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Here’s a few that I’ve been working on lately.

Stay tuned!

shashin collective

I was pretty excited to be contacted a little while ago by UK photographer Tim Cochrane inviting me to submit some pics for a website he was planning.

I kinda forgot about it until I got an email from him this week saying it was live. Check it out: The Shashin Collective

Tim says the site “has been created to showcase the work of today’s most cutting edge photographers from around the world.” Not sure if I fit that description!

It’s cool to have work shown alongside some photographers I really admire, especially Phil Sharp, who takes amazing portraits.

Make sure you check out Tim’s work - he does a bunch of stuff for mags like NME.

After a little bit of wrangling with the nice people at The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery I was allowed to take some pics of this cool old diorama.

I always loved the quaintness of this display - the owl dangling from the roof is my favourite.

Patricia Piccinini liked it so much that she had a new one made from scratch for her awesome Evolution exhibition that recently finished up at TMAG.

Sadly I think these sort of dioramas are on the way out in favour of interpretive panels and touch screens, so I was keen to document it before it disappears.

Trip 35

Check out my new black Trip 35. They only made a few of these so I’m pretty excited to get my hands on one.

I ran my first film through it yesterday and came across these horses. They were real posers!

maybe a white one?

Trip 35

I’ve been collecting Trip 35’s for a little while and some are in pretty bad shape, so I’ve been experimenting with replacing the leatherette.

Check out this one in white.

Here’s a couple of shots taken with it:

I’m gonna have a bunch of cameras and prints for sale at the Odd + Even market in Hobart this Saturday. The market is organised by my girlfriend Jess and her friend (and awesome artist) Cat.

Come along and check out the creative bits and pieces at the Long Gallery, Salamanca from 10am.
